Denver’s Annual Oktoberfest is one of the city’s longest running festivals and one of the
largest of its kind in the nation. Iin 2007. Oktoberfest Denver will move from its previous
home on Larimer Square to Denver’s Ballpark Neighborhood. The new site, on Larimer Street
between 20th and 22nd provides an excellent opportunity for the event to grow. Additions
will include more entertainment, expanded German-oriented programming and goods, and
large Biergartens that were not possible at the Larimer Square venue.
Modeled after Oktoberfest in Munich Germany, Oktoberfest on Larimer Street commemorates
this world-famous and time-honored tradition of German heritage. The festival has truly
become a Denver mainstay offering German attractions, music from national touring groups,
performances by international dancers, children’s activities, heritage booths selling German
good, splendid décor, and accordion concert, and authentic cuisine.
Admission to the event is FREE and guests may purchase tickets for food, bier and children’s
activities.

Entertainment
Tapping of the First Wooden Keg
Friday, September 21, 2007 at 6 p.m.
Oktoberfest kicks off when the Munchner Kindl, the official hostess and guardian angel of
Oktoberfest presents the opening blessing. The first official keg of German bier, a wooden
keg of Paulaner Oktoberfest bier, will be tapped in customary style with a hammer and stake
signaling the beginning of two weekends of festivities.
Sea of Accordions Concert
Sunday, September 23, 2007 at 1 p.m.
An Oktoberfest favorite, this event is guaranteed to put an oom-pah in your weekend. More
than 100 accordion players, ranging in age from 5 to 75, gather on the Square for one of the
world's largest accordion concerts.

The Ford Experience Tour
The Ford Experience Tour is coming to the Denver Oktoberfest October 5th through the 7th!
Karneval
Denver's Oktoberfest is an event for the entire family. The Karneval features an array of
rides, amusements, and classic midway games for adults and children alike. Just like in
Munich, the Karneval will be open throughout the evening.
Food & Bier
The event will offer cuisine true to the German heritage including several different types of
bratwurst, apple strudel, schnitzel, giant pretzels, and sauerbraten. Paulaner Oktoberfest,
Paulaner Hefe-wiezen, Coors, Coors Light, Mikes Hard Lemonade, and Pepsi Products will
compliment the feast. There is certainly enough "bier" to go around at this giant party, with
rows of picnic tables, music, and the most festive atmosphere in Denver.
Oktoberfest runs on a tickets system. Guests may purchase tickets for food, bier and
Karneval activities.
