Oktoberfest Opening Ceremonies - Thurs 19th.
Join the Biermeister, Chicken and Oktoberfest musicians at 5:30 p.m. as they
officially open the festival with the tapping of the keg in Der Bier Garten.
Family Night - Thursday, 18th
Bring the whole family and enjoy unlimited carnival rides, 5 to 10 p.m., for only
$12 per person
Senior's Day - Friday, 19th - Senior citizens, age 55 and older, are invited to
enjoy free shuttle bus rides, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (For the shuttle bus location, see
Getting Here.) - And, there's free festival admission for everyone until 4 p.m.!
Bier Barrel Race - Saturday, 20th
"Roll out the Barrel" takes on a whole new meaning as teams compete for the
coveted Silver Barrel trophy at 1 p.m. in Das Sports Café.

Das Jugendzelt (the Youth Tent) is the place for the young-and the young at heart.
Free entertainment and free arts & crafts make this a cool place for families. Meet
the Oktoberfest Root Bier Meister, Oktoberfest Chicken and other mascots in the
Jugendzelt, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 20th. Bring a camera for a fun
photo. And remember, there’s always free admission to Oktoberfest for children 12
and younger!
Free Crafts for Kids
Children will enjoy a variety of hands-on craft projects with the help of the
Oktoberfest Junior volunteers.
Das Kunst Zelt (the Art Tents)
Spacious tents of talented, juried artists provide a superb selection of German and
European collectibles, fine arts and handmade crafts.
Die Bierstube will feature four varieties of German-brewed beers from Spaten
Breweries, and Das Ess Zelt will feature beers from Warsteiner Breweries of
Germany. Die Bierstube and Das Ess Zelt also offer wines from Leaping Horse
Vineyards.
Bands direct from Bavaria join top performers from the U.S. for high-energy non-
stop entertainment at Oktoberfest.
Oktoberfest entertainers will provide more than 150 hours of enjoyment this year!
